The science

Well-being, mental health and the gut-brain axis.

Our vegan Life Shot probiotic course took part in an independent UK research study into the link between gut health and well-being.

An independent study

It is a genuine privilege that our vegan Life Shot four-week probiotic course was included in an independent Gut-Brain Axis study run with the Bowels & Brains Research Centre at London South Bank University, through the London Agri-food Innovation Clinic.

The research explores how live cultured probiotic products may support mental well-being through the connection between the gut and the brain. For us, taking part is about one thing: putting our products in front of real, independent science rather than making claims on our own.

Why it matters to us

A growing body of research points to the gut as more than a digestive system. Participating in work like this helps the wider community understand what live, raw, plant-based cultures can and cannot do, honestly and transparently.

Study details and any interim findings are shared as research, not as medical advice. Rhythm Health products are functional foods and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition.
